MET Interiors has gained a well deserved reputation for creating exceptional residential and commercial interior spaces in the South Florida area.

Examples of our design work can be found in some of Florida’s most elegant residential enclaves, including; Palm Beach, Gulfstream, Manalapan, Jupiter and Singer Island.

Founded by Allied ASID interior designer, Mary E. Thornton, MET Interiors specializes in projects both large and small. Having earned her certificate from the prestigious Parsons School of Interior Design in New York City, Mary’s accomplishments range from successful seasonal condominium renovations to a 7,000 square foot residence in the Town of Palm Beach.

Mary began her design career in the affluent area of Princeton, New Jersey. Her interior design projects included private residences as well as Designer Showcase Homes which benefited local charities.

As a fifteen year resident of Florida, Mary also cites experience with a retail design store where she merchandised luxury model home interiors for a wide variety of the area’s high-end homebuilders.

Giving back to the community is also a priority at MET Interiors. To that end, Mary has run workshops at Habitat for Humanity and has published a number of columns in the Palm Beach Post which gave readers the benefit of her vast experience in design and renovation.

I personally meet with every client to gain on accurate understanding of their needs, priorities and dreams. The direction and styling of any project is a collaborative effort. Whether the job consists of a single room or an entire home, I integrate all of the interior elements, including; interior architecture, colors, furnishings, lighting, flooring, wall treatments, finishes, artwork and accessories. I also coordinate and oversee all trades.

My ultimate goal at MET Interiors is to create an environment that pleases the senses in a timeless, comfortable and sophisticated manner. In short, a home that you’ll enjoy for many years to come.”
